One word that seems to resonate with me when I think of spring is joy. This may be because spring marks the renewal and reinvigoration of life from the dormancy of winter.
Spring is a season of rebirth.
It is a time where the chill of winter disperses to make room for foliage and greens, and the landscape is once again lush with a cacophony of flowers and plants.
The best part is that we can also experience this beautiful beginning in every area of our lives. We get a chance to clear out the old – old mindsets and ideas that no longer serve us and invite the new – new ways, new and better habits that will lead to our growth and advancement.
Are you ready for some much-needed spring cleaning?
10 Incredible things you can do this Spring Season
1. Review your new year goals to track your progress.
Spring presents an awesome opportunity to check you progress on your new year goals and resolutions. This will help you determine where you need to improve, and perhaps whether you need to tweak some or all your goals in line with your current realities.
You may find that some things are no longer relevant or that they need to be amended in line with the new knowledge or experience you have garnered over the last few months.
Doing this will set you up for a more productive and effective spring season.
2. Declutter Your Space
One of the hallmarks of spring season is the opportunity to declutter. Decluttering is not just about cleaning out your home and getting rid of the things you do not need; it also extends to decluttering our minds and our digital space.
Over the last few weeks, I have been doing a much-needed digital declutter – removing unused files and duplicate files, streamlining my folders and files, and it’s been such a refreshing experience.
In Marie Kondo’s incredible self-help book, The Life changing Magic of Tidying Up, she shares some great tips for decluttering, including to adopt an element of love and joy in determining the things we should hold on to and those that need to go.
3. Take a Weekend Trip.
Now that the weather is hopefully better, this is a great time to finally take that weekend trip you have been talking about. You could consider a spring break trip or just take a road trip alone or with some friends.
This is an opportunity to explore new places or see old places with new eyes. It doesn’t have to break the bank or last too long.
A trip to a major city in your state or one of the cities closest to you will do. One thing I have learned about traveling is that is not always about the place but about the mindset you have when you’re there.

4. Explore a Money-Making Idea.
You probably have plans of making more money this year. Now is a good time to try out a money-making idea.

5. Learn Something New.
A new season is a good time to learn something new. This could be one of the things you had listed in your new year goals at the beginning of the year, or it could be an idea that came up recently that you wish to explore.
When it comes to trying out new things, I usually suggest you try out something practical like learning a new skill, a new language, or a musical instrument. These are usually things you can apply right away, which will encourage you to keep going.
6. Revisit Your Health.
If you’re anything like me then you may be living below your health goals. It’s one thing to set health goals (which is always a good idea) but it is quite another to follow through and remain consistent.
Like we said in our 9 Healthy Lifestyle Habits, good health is borne from a healthy and consistent lifestyle not just one-off moments.
7. Try out a new self-care routine.
Self-care is one of the most powerful ways to feed our souls. It is our minds way to remind us of what we need at the most rudimentary level.
Self-care here refers to the
If you are not already practicing any self-care activities right now, then you should check out this post and this post where I share over 20 ideas of self-care practices you can implement for a happier and more balanced life.

8. Start a Daily Gratitude Journaling Habit.
This season is a good time to invest in a consistent journaling habit. There are many benefits to this such as giving you a chance to process your thoughts, keeping you in a positive frame of mind, and the more gratitude your express; the more you get to experience good things.
9. Reconnect with long-lost friends.
Spring presents another opportunity to reach out to the people that used to matter to you. This may have been people you lost touch with due to the busyness of life or because your paths no longer cross like before (not because you had a major falling out or hate each other’s guts lol).
You could send them an email or a personalised thank you note reminding them of something nice and thoughtful they did for you in the past.
You can take it up a notch by inviting them for drinks or dinner.
10. Build Your Dream Life
This season is a great time to invest into your dream life. This will mean different things for each of us.
What are your dreams? How are you going about fulfilling them? When I ask about your dream life, I am not just talking about the things you want to accomplish in the next few weeks and months, but also your mid to long-term plans.
Use this season to revisit and review your plans and keep pushing until your see all your dreams come true.
