One of the greatest gifts you have is the power to choose.
It is an inalienable power that each of us has been blessed with, yet we do not always exercise it.
I have learned that we always have a choice.
It may be a hard or impossible choice, but it is always present.
And it is up to us to decide which way we will go.
Another thing: not making a choice is also a choice. It is a choice to take the back seat on your life and allow other people or circumstances dictate what you do.
It means you have taken a passive role when you should be the heroine of your life.
Your Transformation is an Active Choice
I imagine you are reading this post today because you wish to change your life. You have a desire to alter your experiences and outcomes, which are key to your transformation.
Change can be passive, but transformation is always active.
Do you know why?
Because Transformation is “a complete change in the appearance or character of something or someone especially so that that thing or person is improved.” (Cambridge Dictionary)
When I started Pineapplly, my goal was clear – help women transform their lives.
I realised that there were key areas that most women struggle with namely – wealth, health, and relationships. I decided to tackle the first two with this blog.
Over the past couple of months, I have highlighted many of the roadblocks stopping us from improving our lives. I am so passionate about these topics and plan to continually share ideas and strategies to help us live a life we will always be proud of.
This is because I want to see you living a healthier lifestyle, pursuing your dream career, starting or building a new business, and trying out new ways to improve your personal productivity.

5 Strategies to finally Transform Your Life.
It’s easy to talk about transformation without experiencing it. It is one of those trending words we like to hear but real transformation is a blood and sweat kinda life.
It is a journey of unearthing the murky depths within us and reframing our story.
True transformation changes you not just for a day or a week but for the long haul.
But it also requires maintenance.
Here are 5 strategies and ideas to transform your life:
1. Understand and Adopt the Power of Positive Thinking.
You must believe in transformation to experience it. What you believe is usually a product of your thoughts and your feelings. It is about how you choose to process the information you receive. Building a positive mindset will fast-track your makeover.
There are three key parts to positive thinking:
- Avoid negative self-talk!
Do you have the habit of focusing on everything that could go wrong? Are you more likely to be pessimistic than optimistic?
Now it the time to change how you talk to yourself.
- Cultivate a gratitude mindset.
Gratitude makes room for growth and blessings.
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
Melody Beattie
- Reframe your story.
The stories you tell yourself matters. It can act as a propelling force or a stumbling block.
2. Develop an Abundance Mindset
This follows on from the idea of reframing your story. When you believe there is enough to go round, it changes how you do things.
It moves you from being a hoarder to being a generous person.
An abundance mindset reminds you that you are limitless. That you can achieve so much of what you conceive. This is true in almost any area of our lives.
This was one of the lessons I learned that has allowed me to transform my money mindset. I had to think from a place of abundance rather than from a place of scarcity.
I refused to believe the lie that I must charge little for the value because no one will pay.
Here are two great quotes about abundance:
“If you are someone who has this awesome money mindset of abundance and growth, then that is going to affect how money shows up in your life. Your money will never do better than what your mindset will allow.”
Tiffany (the “Budgenista”) Aliche
“You will always be wealthy when you have an intense desire to contribute to the good of mankind.”
Joseph Murphy Ph.D (“How to Attract Money”)
3. Embrace an Incredible mix of Patience and Persistence
Transformation is not a one-off activity but a journey. It is a journey with different stages, inputs, and experiences.
Knowing this will mean you pace yourself and ensure that you remain committed and adaptable.
Another reality of this path is that it will require a lot of you, but it will be highly worth it.
Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming jaded or bitter. It means staying optimistic even if things take much longer than you expected.

4. You are the drops, and your life is the water.
The quote “little drops of water, little grains of sand make the mighty ocean.” (Julia Carney) is a potent illustration of the power of small decisions.
Our lives are a conflation of small decisions.
That seemingly forgettable decision to eat fruit rather than a doughnut, when done continuously can have a noticeable effect on your waistline and your health.
It is a reminder not to only focus on the big decisions or choices you must make such as who you marry, where you work and where you live, but to implement the small decisions and ideas that will change your life.
You daily decisions form the makeup of who you become.
More so, they form the building blocks of your habits and routines.
A habit is simply a regular act or practice that is so common that it may be done unconsciously. Once a choice becomes a habit, it is much harder to break.
For instance, if the first thing you do when you wake up is to scroll through social media, that is a choice that will quickly turn into a bad habit and will be much harder to break, over time.
5. Acquire the Missing Piece in Real Life Transformation
If there is one thing you need to hold on to through your journey of transformation it is this:
Not everyone will like you and that’s okay.
It is so important to reiterate this as so many dreams have been quashed under the weight of people caring too much about what others think of them.
Get out of the business of being liked.
It will kill your dreams.
It will cheat you out of the life you could have lived and leave you with a caricature of your potential and possibilities.
Don’t live your life for the applause or accolades. Do it because you are fulfilling the deep hunger of your spirit and soul.
To be able to do this you need to have COURAGE.
- Courage to chart your own course despite what the people around you think.
- Courage to live your life on your own terms and not pander to the expectations and desires of others.
- Courage to keep going even when the dragons of fear, doubt, and anxiety raise their dreadful heads.
Here is a great quote that captures this:
“There is nothing worth doing that is not scary. There is no one who has achieved greatness without wrestling with their own doubts, anxieties, limitations, and demons.”
Ryan Holiday (“Courage is Calling”)
The path to a courageous life will not be easy but it will be one of the best decisions you will ever make.
Remember that courage is not selfish nor arrogant but undergirded by truth. You must know yourself enough to know what path you wish your life to take, and then the courage to follow it.
